Kevin was working in a multimedia studio. In his internship period, he had the opportunity to assist the company for a few shootings and edits.

One of the highlights that Kevin emphasised to the audience was – the importance of storyboarding. A storyboard is a critical tool that is used to visualise the video that you are going to create for the client. A storyboard should be clear, neat and easy to understand to be able to engage the client.

YeeQi is working as a multimedia creator in a digital marketing startup. Being working in a digital marketing startup company, she managed to meet clients from different industries. In her sharing, she also showed the audience a few artworks that have been published on market.

Her tips for the junior was – “ Ask clearly before you start to do anything. Be ready to accept whenever being rejected. Everyone has a different perspective on the same object. One of the options you can do is to seek the opinions from your friends and family, get their ideas and immerse the idea into your artworks”

She also shared the new norm experience during the MCO working environment.  It is hard to communicate with your team members when you are working from home. However, you will have to adapt to the new normal and communicate with your colleagues virtually.

Mike is an in-house designer in a company. Basically, his main task is to ensure the company is marketable on the digital channel. Basically, he is working on all digital content for the company including shootings, graphic design,  videographer, website and some of the digital marketing. He shared some of the tips to his juniors including the best angle to shoot a video, learn the client’s language and learn how to micro-managing etc.

Yanwen is also working as a graphic designer during her internship.she also shared some of her industry work to the juniors and explain the concept of the artwork. in her sharing. She concludes that the industry is different from university life.

Mr Wong wrapped up the session. The pandemic strikes the industry in the year 2020, a lot of industries have been affected. However, our alumni and existing students are young, you have the ability to adapt to the new normal post-pandemic. All you have to do is to ensure to cultivate the surviving skill including communication, time management, the new digital skill.
