Students who graduate from RU’s Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) programme will be eligible to receive the maximum allowable 9 fundamental paper exemptions from ACCA exams
The Bachelor of Accountancy programme is a full-time four years degree based on all the professional and legal requirements of this profession. Students will learn all the necessary skills to develop into competent accountants such as business operations, taxation, auditing and business environment. Before graduation, students will be able to participate in a professional attachment programme. Students who graduate from the RU Bachelor of Accountancy programme will be eligible to receive 9 fundamental paper exemptions from ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

STPM: Grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in 2 subjects; credit in Maths subject at SPM level
A-Level: Grade C in 2 subjects; credit in Maths subject in O-level or its equivalent
UEC: 5Bs; credit in Maths subject at SPM / UEC level
Foundation / Matriculation: min. CGPA 2.50 (with a credit in Math subject at SPM level
Diploma / Advance Diploma: min. CGPA 2.50 in related field
Others: Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysia Government which will be considered on a case by case basis

The reason that I choose Raffles University to study Bachelor in Accounting (Honours) is because the number of exemption that I received for the professional accountancy examination like ACCA. BAC offer students many options for their career opportunities. BAC offers internship programme as it is a must for the student to complete their final year. This internship allows the student to gain experience and get some exposure on the working environment which related to the industry and study field.
The most enjoyable and memorable experience that I gain from this program is when we get the opportunity to meet and learn new things from the employer. It really helps us a lot in building relationship and networks. Moreover, it is also give us the view on what type of skill and knowledge the employer looking for when they recruit fresh graduates. The university also arranged a mock interview with the employer from SQM audit firm.
When I reflect on my four years in Raffles University Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) program, I conclude that the experience has prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. With incredibly supportive friends and lecturers who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a voice and talent I didn’t know I had.
Having been shaped in part by the friendly, collegial and competitive yet creative, environment at RU, I found myself able to communicate and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build my confidence, sharpen my skills and to be more disciplined.
Raffles lecturers have vast knowledge and experience in their respective fields. My accounting classes are intense and filled with practical knowledge.
In RU (formerly known as RUI), we gain exposure from inter-varsity competitions, classes, assignments and projects. We are also able to enhance our soft skills through involvement in clubs and societies.
Raffles City Campus is a great location, with nearby food stall, cafes, and easy access to shopping malls.
Studying at Raffles University has truly been an invaluable learning experience for me as a student. What I have learnt in this programme is not solely what is in the textbook, but I managed to develop my interpersonal skills, teamwork, confidence in myself, spirit and much more. The lecturers and academic advisors have been supportive and helpful during my study journey.
