Viam Challenge

Raffles University received an award in the Viam Challenge for AI innovation.

Raffles University is glad to announce that Yogendran Govikrishnan, a student in the Bachelor of Information Systems (Honours) in Artificial Intelligence programme at Raffles University, has secured second place in the Viam Challenge.      

Yogendran’s project stood out for its innovative use of AI to enhance the functionality of a device. His project demonstrated a deep understanding of AI concepts but also showcased his creativity and problem-solving skills.

As the second place winner, Yogendran has been awarded a $1,000 gift card, a Viam Rover 2.0, and other exciting swag. His success in the Viam Challenge is a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft. We congratulate Yogendran on his remarkable accomplishment and look forward to seeing more groundbreaking work from him and our students in the future.

The Viam Challenge offered a unique opportunity to integrate AI technologies such as ML, LLMs, and Computer Vision into a variety of devices, transforming everyday challenges into innovative experiences. Participants gained valuable insights into hardware integration by using Viam.

By participating in the challenge, individuals were able to expand their networks by joining an active and enthusiastic community of engineers and AI enthusiasts. They also received guidance from a seasoned team of engineers, helping them improve everyday devices using Viam and AI.

The Viam Challenge encouraged creativity, innovation, and collaboration, providing a platform for individuals to showcase their AI skills and make a meaningful impact in the field.
