Orientation Day September 2026

Welcoming the Future: Highlights from Raffles University Orientation Day 2

Orientation Day 2 at Raffles University was filled with energy, global connection, and key academic milestones. Building on the excitement of our online kick-off, new students gathered on campus for a dynamic day designed to help them forge lasting friendships, take care of their personal well-being, and prepare for academic success. The morning launched with high energy as the Education Consultant team led interactive faculty-grouping activities. Designed to break the ice and break down walls, these challenges helped incoming students meet their future classmates and establish a strong sense of community right from the start.

Prioritising Mental Health & Well-being with Dr Tan

At Raffles University, student success goes hand in hand with mental health. Dr Tan led an inspiring well-being session centred on emotional awareness and practical coping toolkits. Students explored interactive check-in stations, learning how to recognise their emotions, manage stress, and access ongoing support throughout their university journey.

Presidential Address & Esteemed Guest Speeches

The formal proceedings began with an uplifting opening address from University President Assoc. Prof. Greg Pritchard, who officially welcomed the new cohort to the Raffles University family. The stage was also shared with distinguished guest speakers who highlighted our strong global and governmental ties:

Mr Joo Seon Tae, Principal of Yeosu Petrochemical High School, delivered a speech celebrating international education pathways and youth empowerment.

Mr Muhd Shahrilfaizail bin Abdul Hamid, Senior Assistant Director General from the Higher Education Internationalisation Division (KPPK(BPPT)SDN, JPT), joined to support our global initiatives and cross-border academic collaboration.

Global Connection: K-MEET RU & Visiting Korean Students

Emphasising our commitment to internationalisation, the event brought together local and visiting Korean students for K-MEET RU. The session provided a platform for cross-cultural exchange, networking, and fun, culminating in a memorable group photo capturing the vibrant, multicultural spirit of our campus.

Campus Exploration & Faculty Briefings

To close out the day, students toured our facilities to familiarise themselves with key learning spaces, resources, and student support hubs. The afternoon concluded with dedicated sessions hosted by Faculty Deans and Programme Directors. Students received detailed programme briefings, completed their module registrations, and gained valuable insights into what to expect during their academic journey ahead.

With Orientation Day 2 wrapped up, our new cohort is officially equipped, inspired, and ready to take on the semester. We are excited to support every student as they unleash their potential, grow as leaders, and shape their futures at Raffles University!
