Who said that being a 👗 designer was easy? Sneak peak of Raffles Designer, Nuradilah Afiqah binti Ab Hamid, in her preparation of showcasing her Boundless of Human collection in the prestigious show🤩. Raffles University was honoured to be the only Malaysia higher institution who was invited to participate the prestigious Graduate Fashion Week that was held from 2nd – 5th June 2019 at Truman Brewery, London, UK. Founded in 1991, Graduate Fashion Week is an annual grand major event to showcase the work of over 1,000 of the future creative design talents from the universities around the world, attracting 30,000 guests. It also aims to bridge the gap between graduation and employment of these future creative design talents. Our Raffles Designer of Bachelor in Fashion Design (Honours) – Nuradilah Afiqah binti Ab Hamid, was selected to represent Raffles University to showcase her collection of final year project – “Boundless of Human” at the International Catwalk Show of the Graduate Fashion Week. The concept of her work was Frustration & Depression where she mentioned that “it was about exploring a journey of a person’s life when it appears to be mix feeling, changing and clashing”. This opportunity to be showcase in London, it means a lot to me. It helps me to meet out with many buyers and it helps me to build connection with influencers, great people, incredible talents and I can build a networking there. And also now, I am starting to do my own brand, so it is a good opportunity for me to establish more, because I want to involve more and create more new ideas.
