8TH CONVOCATION

Congratulations to all graduates! The moment we had all been waiting for!

Raffles University proudly presented its grand 8th Convocation Ceremony for the class of 2024. There was a total of 124 Raffles University students graduating in 2024.

Welcome to Raffles University’s 2024 Convocation, themed “Initiate.” It inspires graduates to embark on their

post-graduation journey with a proactive mindset. The theme encapsulates the essence of preparedness, proactive engagement, and a willingness to embrace fresh starts.

There are three “i” in the word “initiate”. Each “i” symbolises a crucial step for graduates:

This year's convocation
marks a significant milestone
for Raffles University

As we celebrated the accomplishments of our first cohort of graduates from the Faculty of AI and Robotics. Raffles University was honoured to announce that the upcoming event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Guest of Honour, YB Tuan Aznan bin Tamin, Chairman of the Education and Communication Exco, State of Johor as the representative of YAB Datuk Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, the Chief Minister of Johor.

Raffles University worked closely with State Government of Johor to promote the development of AI & Robotics within the community. Both parties will collaborated on initiatives such as the AI-driven platform MyAi Teaching Assistant, created by the Raffles University Faculty of AI & Robotics, and the networking of the community for artificial intelligence development.

Seeding the FutureU Award

Raffles University was also honored to have YB Tuan Aznan bin Tamin represent the university in presenting the prestigious “Seeding the FutureU” award. The Seeding the FutureU Award was presented for the first time at a Raffles University convocation.

This award will be given to six industry partners whose guidance and advice foster a dynamic two-way exchange, enhancing academic excellence and equipping students for real-world challenges.
