Visual Communication Field Trip
A Journey into the World of Printing at Refine Printing
Raffles University students from the Diploma in Visual Communication had recently embarked on a captivating educational journey to Refine Printing, marking a truly eye-opening experience. The visit included a comprehensive showcase of pre-press, press, and post-press processes. Students had the privilege of observing various printing methods, such as letterpress, offset, screen printing, and lithography. These experience allowed them to a deeper understanding of the entire process—from initial design concepts to the production of finished, physical products.
At Refine Printing, Diploma in Visual Communication had the privilege of observing various methods in action, including letterpress, offset, screen printing, and lithography. These experiences allowed them to appreciate the connections between different techniques and the worlds of publication and packaging design.
Approximately 25 students and 2 lecturers from Raffles University joined this incredible journey, expanding their knowledge and gaining practical insights into the graphic design and printing world.
This educational trip bridged the gap between theory and practice, leaving all participants inspired and eager to explore the graphic design and printing world further. It closely aligns with Raffles University’s commitment to “Doing while learning” and the pursuit of “Success by Design.” It highlighted the indispensable role of graphic designers in shaping the final product.
