DISCLAIMER NOTICE: IMPERSONATION AND FRAUDULENT ACTS
Dear Reader, it has been brought to our attention on 30 July 2021 that a criminal syndicate has maliciously, dishonestly and fraudulently impersonated our University e-mail and domain address in a bid to cheat and defraud persons who are connected with our University.
To date, we have been made aware that one such syndicate has been impersonating our University by using the following name, designation, domain, e-mail address and phone number:-
- Alvin Chan, Procurement Officer, Raffles University
- raffles-univerisity-edu-my.com
- procurement@raffles-univerisity-edu-my.com
- Phone: 601123531480
Please take note that Raffles University have absolutely NO AFFILIATION whatsoever with the said Alvin Chan and raffles-univerisity-edu-my.com is NOT in any way linked to Raffles University, even when they have brazenly used our brand name and displayed our logo to drive their suspicious activities.
We strongly denounce this fraudulent and unscrupulous impersonation and hereby alert the general public to this urgent situation.
Kindly take note that only https://raffles-university.edu.my and all e-mail addresses within this domain legitimately belong to the staff and Management of Raffles University. Raffles University shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may result from the reliance or the use of any such fraudulent e-mails and its attachments.
If you suspect you are in receipt of such fraudulent e-mails or contacted by such suspicious persons/ entities, please do not engage in any transaction with them. Please make immediate contact with our Systems Engineer, Mohd Hatim at MohamadHatim@Raffles-University.edu.my .
CAUTION: Do not open any attachments from and/or make contact with suspicious e-mail addresses impersonating or claiming to represent Raffles University. Please note that under no circumstances shall Raffles University be held liable or responsible for any claims, losses, damages, expenses or other inconvenience resulting from any business transaction or in any way connected to the actions of these imposters persons seeking to defraud the general public.
