Rank 10th position in the Malaysia Retail category at the MonsoonSIM (MERMC)

[26 October 2024]

Congratulations to the Business Faculty students from the Bachelor of Supply Chain Management (Honours) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) programmes!

Competing against 50 other teams from various universities and institutions from Malaysia and Singapore, they emerged in the Top 10 (Malaysia) of the MERMC 2024 regional competition (MY and SG) , securing their spot in the upcoming international finals!

This impressive accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and business acumen of the following students:

Ng Kai Quan (Bachelor of Supply Chain Management (Honours))
Ong Yen Chi (Bachelor of Supply Chain Management (Honours))
Toa Wen Xin (Bachelor of Supply Chain Management (Honours))
Yap Yong Ling (Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours))
Christie Goh Jing Qian (Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours))

The competition serves as a simulation of an ERP system, showcasing what enterprises need to succeed and compete in a virtual world. Raffles University is thrilled to see their talent and drive recognised on such a prestigious stage.

The Raffles University Business Club (RUBC) and Raffles University Logistics Club (RAFULOC) are proud to support students in their journey to the competition. We believe in the importance of experiential learning and real-world simulations, like the MonsoonSIM platform, to prepare our students for their future careers.

On 23 October, the clubs held an internal tournament with only 30 slots available for participants from RUBC and RAFULOC. This event not only tested students’ skills but also helped select five outstanding representatives who will compete internationally as Team ‘RU Iskandar 01’.
