Raffles University Psychological Wellness Centre Supports Community Well-Being
Raffles University launched the Raffles University Psychological Wellness Centre (RUPC) on 15 March, marking an important step in extending psychological and wellness services to the wider Johor community.
The launch was hosted by representatives from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Raffles University and attended by YB Ling Tian Soon, Member of the Johor State Executive Council (EXCO), together with a representative of YB Chiong Sen Sern, ADUN Bukit Batu. Guests from government agencies, universities and community organisations also joined the occasion.
Supporting Psychological Wellness in the Community
The establishment of RUPC reflects Raffles University’s commitment to connecting academic expertise with meaningful community support. Through professional services, assessments and educational initiatives, the Centre aims to promote greater awareness of psychological well-being and provide individuals and communities with access to relevant support.
The launch also provided guests with an opportunity to learn more about the Centre and its approach to psychological wellness through presentations, demonstrations and interactive activities.
Professional Services for Different Wellness Need
RUPC provides a range of services designed to support individuals, organisations and the wider community:
- Psychological Assessment – Professional assessments to better understand individual psychological needs.
- Neurofeedback Assessment – Assessments that provide insights into patterns of brain activity.
- Counselling & Psychotherapy – Professional support for individuals navigating emotional, personal and interpersonal challenges.
- Wellness Coaching – Guidance to support personal development, well-being and positive lifestyle goals.
- Workshops, Talks and Trainings – Educational and professional development initiatives that promote psychological wellness, awareness and practical knowledge.
Through these services, the Raffles University Psychological Wellness Centre continues to bridge education, professional practice and community engagement while contributing to greater awareness and support for psychological well-being.
