Raffles University establishes the Industry Advisory Board to actively engage and develop strong relations with thought leaders and key practitioners in those core areas of our university’s curriculum.

By closely engaging with industry partners, the professional relevance of our educational programmes increases, and we can effectively position ourselves as the university of the future, where learning and doing reinforce each other. Moreover, our cooperation with industry partners creates valuable avenues for students’ hands-on learning during internships, for the commercialisation of Raffles University’s projects and students’ work, and for new business ventures and spin-offs.

This is where the Industry Advisory Board, based on their strategic insights and operational expertise, will be able to share valuable advice and recommendations with Raffles University, and strengthen the ties between academics and business practice.

RUIAB is separate from RU governance and management functions. RUIAB does not have any explicit or implied governance function, performance monitoring, operational function, or management authority. They do not form part of the formal RU governance structure and are not decision-making bodies. The powers of the RUIAB will be limited to making recommendations based on their industry experience and insights and the information provided by RU. Adoption and implementation of recommendations are at the operational discretion of RU management team and staff.
