Raffles University's Masquerade Party Prom Night

Raffles University recently hosted its Prom Night at the prestigious Hotel Granada in Bukit Indah, and it was a night to remember! Organised by the Raffles University Dance Club (RUDC) and Raffles University Youth Sports & E-sports Club (RUYSEC), the event was a fantastic celebration of talent, friendship, and fun, marking the second prom night since RU was established in 2011. Held on April 6, 2024, the evening showcased a spectacular blend of talent, creativity, and unity. The highlight of the evening was the entertainment, with performances by talented students from Raffles University. From dance routines to musical acts, the performances brought the evening to life with energy and creativity.
The event also had a charitable element, with all proceeds from the prom night being donated to a worthy cause. This added a sense of purpose to the evening, highlighting the importance of giving back to the community. It was a night of glamour, talent, and generosity, embodying the spirit of Raffles University and leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
The event kicked off with a Registration and Check-In session, The ceremony featured an Opening Performance by Lecturers and Students.
One of the highlights of the evening was the variety of student performances. Chong Shi Enn delivered a rendition of “Perfect,” while Lim Jia Xin, Teo Zhi Rui, Chong Shi Enn, and Teo Chien Lu performed “Heal The World.”
The night continued with more performances, including Arulles and Tea Hao Jie’s rendition of “Fly me to the moon,” Chong Shi Enn’s performance of “Love Story,” and Tea Hao Jie and Teo Chien Lu’s performance of “彩券.” These performances showcased the diverse talents of Raffles University students.
The evening culminated in a series of performances featuring Heng Liang Yen and Yehong Sim, who captivated the audience with their renditions of popular songs like “Someone You Loved,” “晴天,” “Just the Way You Are,” “天天,” and “Counting Stars.”
Aside from the performances, the event included a Buffet Dinner, allowing attendees to enjoy delicious food while mingling with friends and taking photos. The dinner was followed by the announcement of Prom King, Queen, Prince, Princess, and Best Social Awards, adding an element of excitement and anticipation to the evening.
The night concluded with a Lucky Draw Session, offering attendees the chance to win exciting prizes. The event ended with a Closing Performance by Vivajis Thamil Selvan, followed by a Closing Speech & Dismissal. RU’s Prom Night 2024 was a success, bringing together students and lecturers for a night of celebration.
