FutureU Café launch

FutureU Café Officially Opens at Raffles University: A New Hub for On-Campus Connections

On 2 September 2026, Raffles University officially marked the grand opening of the FutureU Café. Located adjacent to the atrium, the new establishment offers staff, students, and campus visitors a modern space to connect, recharge, and enjoy a fresh selection of refreshments throughout the workday. The launch event commenced at 12:00 PM as university members and invited guests gathered to celebrate the new operational addition. The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from President Associate Professor Gregory Pritchard, highlighting the café’s role in enriching campus life and fostering collaborative social spaces.

Following the opening address, President Associate Professor Gregory Pritchard and Associate Professor Dr Tan Wee Chuen led the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. In a unique interactive launch gimmick, both leaders pressed the start button on the main espresso machine to symbolise the café’s active operation. Attendees then participated in a venue tour, sampling available menu offerings while networking with colleagues across departments. Designed with convenience in mind, FutureU Café operates on a fully cashless payment system. The current menu features freshly brewed coffee, hot beverages, and quick bites including samosas, spring rolls, croissants, sandwiches, and more.
