Prestigious Awards at Kancil Awards 2025

Raffles University is proud to announce that we have received two prestigious awards at the Kancil Awards 2025, recognising excellence in design and the strength of cross-disciplinary collaboration. These achievements highlight our commitment to nurturing creative talent and fostering innovation across faculties.

The Kancil Awards are widely regarded as one of Malaysia’s most respected platforms for celebrating outstanding creative work in advertising, design, and communications. To be recognised at this national level reflects not only technical excellence but also strong conceptual thinking, strategic execution, and the ability to create meaningful impact through design. The recognition also highlights the mentorship and guidance provided by our dedicated academic team, whose industry insights and commitment to excellence play a vital role in shaping student success.

Silver Award – Best Design: Publications

Project: 404LAB
Designer: Chan Zhi Ying
Bachelor in Graphic Design (Honours)

The 404LAB project stood out for its strong visual storytelling and thoughtful publication design, earning recognition in one of the most competitive design categories.

Merit Award – Digital Experience

Project: Jiu Xi Mindscape
Collaboration: Faculty of AI and Robotics × Faculty of Arts and Design

Jiu Xi Mindscape is a digitally enhanced physical experience that reflects the power of interdisciplinary collaboration. By combining design, technology, and artificial intelligence, the project demonstrates how creative innovation can be elevated through cross-faculty teamwork.

The project was driven by a four-member team comprising students from both faculties:
