Is Raffles American School the same as Raffles University?
No, Raffles American School is not the same as Raffles University. Although it is part of our parent company, Raffles Education Corporation, it is an international/American school catering to K-12 students.

Can I apply to study using my SPM forecast results?
Yes, you may apply for Raffles University’s programmes with your SPM forecast results. However, you are required to fulfill the minimum requirements of the programme you have enrolled in after receiving your actual SPM results.

What is the minimum number of credits in SPM required to enroll at Raffles University? The minimum number of credits required varies depending on the programme. At least 3 credits are required for some diploma programmes, while 5 credits are needed for some foundation programmes. Certain programmes may have additional requirements. I am an SPM graduate. What programme can I apply for?

Can I apply for a PTPTN loan or EPF withdrawal? PTPTN loans are available for students enrolled in Raffles University’s Diploma and Degree programmes. However, they are not applicable for MBA and Foundation programmes. EPF Account 2 withdrawals are applicable if the student has an EPF Account 2.

What is the admission procedure?

How long will it take to receive a student visa? For international students, it will take at least 2 months upon completing the required documents for your student visa.

Do I have to submit my portfolio to enter any of the design programmes?
Yes, it is mandatory to submit a portfolio as part of the application process for all design programmes at Raffles University. We are delighted to offer assistance with this process

What is the purpose of the pre-enrollment portfolio assessment?
The purpose of the pre-enrollment portfolio assessment is to enable our lecturers to assess your potential and allocate you to the appropriate class.

Must I have excellent drawing skills to enroll in the design programme?
No, it is not mandatory to possess excellent drawing skills. You can learn and improve your drawing skills throughout our programme.

What is the difference between the ODL programme and conventional Masters’ programme?
 The conventional Masters’ programme requires students to attend every class face-to-face, whereas ODL programmes are self-paced learning programmes that require students to complete the programme online. [Learn more]

When would be the class time for the Masters’ programme? 
The class schedule for the Masters’ programme varies depending on the mode of the programme, whether it is conventional or Open Distance Learning (ODL). Conventional Masters’ programme students typically have classes in the evening on weekdays, from 7pm to 10pm. For ODL Masters’ programme students, consultation schedules are usually arranged fortnightly on weekends.

Are the Masters’ programmes full-time or part-time programmes?
Most of our Masters’ programmes can be pursued on either a full-time or part-time basis. The duration of the programmes may vary accordingly.

Can I apply for the Masters’ programme straight after I graduate from my Bachelor Degree programme?
 Yes, you can apply for the Masters’ programme after completing a recognized Bachelor Degree programme and fulfilling the entry requirements.

Could I apply for any financial aid for the Masters’ programme?
 You can apply for EPF Account 2 withdrawal for the Masters’ programme.

 

What is blockchain technology?
Blockchain is a method for recording information that is very difficult or impossible to illegally hack, change or copy. Information is stored in blocks that are duplicated and distributed over a network of computer systems; hence its name blockchain.

How is blockchain technology used to issue final transcripts and certificates?
Students’ transcripts and certificates are encoded into blockchain format by a blockchain provider. Each student is issued a specific link to the provider. Activation of the link will display that particular student’s transcript and certificate.

How do employers and third parties verify Raffles University qualifications?
A student will provide their link to the third party. The third party activates the link and the student’s transcript and certificate will be displayed. Third parties can be confident the information is correct because it is encoded using blockchain technology.

Who is the blockchain provider?
Raffles University has chosen Accredify as the blockchain provider. Accredify is ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified, a globally recognised information security management system standard. For more information about the company you can visit their website https://accredify.io/.

Can students print a hard copy of their transcripts and certificates?
Yes, they can print a hard copy if they wish to do so.

What happens if a student loses their link?
SAS maintains a master record of all links. If a student loses their link they can contact SAS and the link will be sent again.
