“Lak’s Lineage” combines “Laks,” an abbreviation for “Laksamana,” a key naval commander in the MalaccaSultanate, with “Lineage,” highlighting the importance of family heritage. The title emphasizes the cultural significance of maintaining lineage and preserving historical and familial continuity within Malaysian culture. This narrative aims to showcase the legacy and impact of the last few Laksamana lines during a pivotal moment in the Malacca Sultanate, underscoring the importance of lineage in sustaining cultural identity.
