Leo Club Visits Orang Asli Village for Community Development
As part of Raffles University‘s commitment to community service, the Leo Club recently visited an Orang Asli village, actively participating in crucial development projects. During the visit, the Leo Club members observed the current state of crucial infrastructure and facilities. They explored the construction site for a new water pipeline and catchment area, which aims to ensure clean water access for the village. The members also inspected the community hall kitchen and fencing, noting areas that require repair and enhancement.
At the water catchment area, Leo Club members reviewed the progress of the dam construction and installation of new water pipelines, which are designed to improve the village’s water supply. They also examined the additional water tanks being set up near the old village water tank. This visit allowed the Leo Club to gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by the Orang Asli village and to identify potential areas for future support. The experience has strengthened the club’s commitment to exploring sustainable solutions that can enhance the community’s well-being. It also reflects the Leo Club’s commitment to supporting and improving the infrastructure and facilities for the Orang Asli village.
