Raffles University's sewing workshop for beginners

Raffles University‘s sewing workshop for beginners, was held on 22 March 2023. Attendees had the opportunity to learn the basics of sewing, from threading a machine to sewing straight and curve stitches, and even clothing alterations.

Led by experienced facilitators Ms Zoe TEO Cai Qing, lecturer from Faculty of Arts & Design. The workshop provided a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants, regardless of previous sewing experience. Attendees were able to ask questions, practice their skills, and receive one-on-one assistance from the facilitators.

The workshop was held at the Fashion Sewing Studio on campus. Participants were able to use top-of-the-line sewing machines and tools provided by the department, ensuring that they were able to learn on the best equipment possible. Throughout the workshop, attendees were able to create their own small project, giving them the chance to practice and apply their newfound skills.

The sewing workshop was a wonderful opportunity for members of the Raffles University community to learn a new skill and connect with others who share their interest in sewing. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future and continuing to provide opportunities for lifelong learning and personal growth.
