信息技术大专文凭致力于培养信息技术专才以跟上信息技术领域的迅速发展及马来西亚和东南亚国家联盟对于信息技术领域专才的需求。开办这个课程目的，主要是为提供学生基本知识、实际应用及问题解决的技能以达到信息技术专员的资格。完成此课程的学生将有能力展现应用信息技术知识及技能于分析、设计、及发展科技解决方案。

入学资格
信息技术大专文凭
i. SPM: 及格并至少获取3科C包括数学
ii. O-level: 至少3科C包括数学
iii. UEC: 及格并至少3科B包括数学
iv. STPM: 1科C (CGPA2.00)及SPM级别的数学C
v. A-level: 任1科D及SPM级别的数学C
vi. STAM: 至少 Maqbul grade 及SPM级别的数学C
vii. SKM Level 3: 需就读相关领域并获取及格（没有数学的学生可以被录取，但必须通过严谨的内部评估）
viii. 相关领域的大专文凭 (MQF Level 3): 至少CGPA 2.00
ix. 其他：马来西亚政府承认的其他相关和等同资格。
- 如果学生的入学资格包含相当于SPM级别数学科目可以被录取。
- Those without a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but required to take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer. [Not Applicable to International Candidates]

- 如果学生的入学资格级别包含相等于SPM级别的数学科目，再加上学生在相等于SPM级别里获取数学及格可以被录取
- 如果学生在相等于SPM级别里获取数学及格, 但在入学资格级别里不包含数学，需参加并通过相等于SPM级别的数学加强课程
- 如果不相等，则必须在第一学期或无条件录取之前提供等同于SPM级别的数学强化科目。
- – 在马来西亚中学文凭（SPM）计算机科学相关科目中取得良好成绩或等同资格的考生，可能会被优先考虑录取。
