AI Empowerment Workshop
Bridging Theory and Tomorrow: Project Management Students Successfully Hosted the 'AI Innovation Talk'
At Raffles University, we constantly strive to merge academic frameworks with real-world industry applications. On 13th July, that commitment was vividly brought to life as we celebrated the successful conclusion of the first half of the AI Empowerment Workshop – Part 1: AI Innovation Talk.
What made this seminar particularly outstanding was that it was entirely student-led. The event was proudly organised by Group 5 – Five Fingers, a talented student team comprising students from Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, and Fashion Design as part of the ADE 21063 Project Management module. The event served as the practical application of their core coursework, giving students the opportunity to apply project management principles in a real-world setting under the theme
Unlocking the Future of Learning
Held at the Open Studio (Level 2), the seminar welcomed Mr Azhar Malik, the Founder and CEO of Singapore-based Evolve Innovative Solutions Pte. Ltd. (EIS), as the distinguished guest keynote speaker. The core objective of the talk was to pull back the curtain on artificial intelligence, transforming it from a complex tech concept into a practical tool for student success. Through his insightful sharing, participants explored how AI can be strategically leveraged across three vital pillars:
Enhancing Productivity & Innovation: Demonstrating how AI can assist students in brainstorming, designing, and problem-solving to drive academic breakthroughs.
Creativity & Academic Integration: Introducing specific AI-driven methodologies that help streamline research, time management, and everyday academic tasks without compromising originality.
Future-Ready Preparedness: Equipping the student body with actionable technological literacy required in the modern global workforce.
A Commitment to Quality Education
From coordinating complex cross-border logistics with a Singaporean firm to managing live event timelines and venue operations, the members of Group 5 – Five Fingers operated with the precision of a professional corporate team. Their seamless execution stands as a testament to their exceptional teamwork, leadership, and crisis-management capabilities.
Furthermore, this student-led initiative proudly aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. By introducing such forward-thinking seminars, the project underscores Raffles University’s dedication to equipping our student body with vital, future-ready skills through immersive and meaningful learning experiences that bridge the gap between higher education and industry needs.
Continuous Professional Development
Events like these do more than just impart knowledge; they build a collaborative community. Attendees not only walked away with cutting-edge tech insights but also earned a valuable Professional Development Services (PDS) point to aid their holistic academic journey.
A massive congratulations to the student team of Group 5, our dedicated faculty mentors, and Evolve Innovative Solutions (EIS) for collaborating to deliver a truly impactful event. We eagerly look forward to the next stage of the workshop series as our student community continues to learn, innovate, and lead responsibly!
