MonsoonSIM
TOURNAMENT (MERMC)

Rank 10th position in the Malaysia Retail category at the MonsoonSIM (MERMC)

莱佛士大学 proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of our students who secured a Rank 10 position in the Malaysia Retail category at the MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition (MERMC) 2024 final tournament! This competition, hosted online by the Singapore University of Social Sciences and powered by MonsoonSIM, brought together talented students from various tertiary institutions across Malaysia and Singapore.

Representing Raffles University’s Business Faculty, students from the Bachelor of Supply Chain Managament(Honours) and 管理商学学士(荣誉学位) programmes showcased exceptional skills in the competition. The MERMC event challenges participants to apply strategic thinking, decision-making, and team collaboration to solve complex business scenarios using an ERP system simulation. This milestone demonstrates the dedication and resilience of our students, who have now earned a place in the upcoming international finals.

The Raffles University Business Club (RUBC) and Raffles University Logistics Club (RAFULOC) are proud to support students in their journey to the competition. We believe in the importance of experiential learning and real-world simulations, like the MonsoonSIM platform, to prepare our students for their future careers. On 23 October, the clubs held an internal tournament with only 30 slots available for participants from RUBC and RAFULOC. This event not only tested students’ skills but also helped select five outstanding representatives who will compete internationally as Team ‘RU Iskandar 01’:

Ng Kai Quan, 供应链管理学士(荣誉学位)
Ong Yen Chi, 供应链管理学士(荣誉学位)
Toa Wen Xin, 供应链管理学士(荣誉学位)
Yap Yong Ling, 管理商学学士(荣誉学位)
Christie Goh Jing Qian, 管理商学学士(荣誉学位)

These students will showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and commitment, embodying Raffles University’s values of excellence, collaboration, and hands-on learning on an international stage. Congratulations once again to our talented students for their dedication, and we look forward to seeing them excel in the international finals!
