MIKA x RU: Celebrating Creativity and Gratitude Through Photography
At 莱佛士大学, we take pride in fostering creativity and providing real-world opportunities for our students to thrive. Our students partnered with Mika Premium Gift Shop for a festive-themed product photography contest.
Through this collaboration, Diploma in Visual Communication, Diploma in Fashion Design, and Diploma in Digital Game Art students were tasked with creating vibrant, market-ready festive-themed product photographs. The experience allowed them to merge creativity with commercial art, gaining firsthand insights into meeting real-world market demands.
The photography contest gave students an exciting opportunity to showcase their skills while competing for two special awards:
RM150 Gift Voucher for the “Most Likes” Winner (on Facebook)
RM150 Gift Voucher for the “Best Photo” Winner (selected by professional judges from MIKA and Raffles University lecturers)
Celebrating Talent: Yong Xin Hui's Winning Moment
A huge congratulations to Yong Xin Hui for her outstanding photography skills that captured the essence of Mika Premium Gift Shop’s brand! Her work stood out in the Digital Photography subject and earned her both the ‘Most Likes’ Award (RM150 Gift Voucher) and the ‘Best Photo’ Award (RM150 Gift Voucher).
By working closely with brands like Mika Premium Gift Shop, students learn to balance artistic creativity with commercial value, preparing them for success in professional creative industries.
