MOU SIGNING CEREMONY

Raffles University is pleased to be the strategic partner for Johor Interior Designers’ Association (JIDA) Design Awards 2022. Raffles University President – Associate Professor Greg PRITCHARD signed the MOU for JDA 2022 at the Press Conference.

About JIDA Design Award 

The JIDA Design Award (JDA) is launched by the Johor Institute of Interior Designers (JIDA). The prestigious JDA 2022 aims to recognise & showcase outstanding home-grown Johor / Malaysia interior design talents.

Objective

• To raise the professional standards of the local interior design industry through healthy competition.
• To create awareness for JIDA as an accessible platform beneficial for industry players to join.
• To position itself as a Major Industry networking event that connects & collaborates with industry partners.

The award is divided into two categories – Interior Design Professional and Interior Design Students. The Competition Categories are

1. Best Residential Design – Highrise
2. Best Residential Design – Landed
3. Best Workplace Design
4. Best Retail Design
5. Best F&B & Entertainment Design
6. Best Hospitality Design
7. Best 3D Conceptual Design
8. Best Emerging Design (Students)

The award winners were announced during JDA’s Gala Night

The judging panel comprises local & internationally recognised interior designers, architects and arts from the South East Asian Region – Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia & Belgium. We are also proud to announce that Raffles University lecturer – MR. MUHAMMAD SYUKRI BIN ABDULLAH SANI is invited to be one of the judges for JDA 2022!

Raffles University Achievement in JIDA Award 2019

Raffles University Interior Designer – Sharada Muraleesvaran (Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours), won the Gold Prize in the category of Emerging Designer SPACE in the JIDA Award 2019. We have another 2 Raffles interior designers  – Lee Cai Zhi and Lim Dao Liang- who entered the award’s finalist.
