Congratulations to Raffles University Fashion Designer – AU Jie Min (Jasmine) (服装设计学士（荣誉学位） for winning IRON A’Design Award in Fashion, Apparent and Garment Design Category 2021 – 2022 with her mini-collection – “Are We?”.
What is A’Design Award?
The A’Design Award and Competition is for designers, innovators and companies that want to highlight themselves to attract the attention of media, publishers and buyers. In a world where there are millions of products and designs launched each year, the award was born out of the desire to underline the best designs and well-designed products. Jasmine’s Submission – Are We?
ARE WE is a collection to create awareness on the damages made by humans to the marine world and inspired by an article, that highlighted a past experiment, Biosphere2 failed due to eco-balance and proved impossible to build an EARTH. Designs highlighted the beauty of nature with the blending of the coral system and wave onto the garment. Each handmade coral structured detail is originally created through the development. The masterpiece has about 300 pieces of detailed handmade coral attached.
