SETARA rated as "Competitive"

We are glad to announce and celebrate a significant milestone in Raffles educational journey towards excellence in higher education. 莱佛士大学 has achieved a ‘Competitive’ rating in the SETARA 2022 assessment by the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia. This achievement underscores Raffles’ commitment to providing high-quality education and promoting academic standards of the highest order. 

What is SETARA? 

SETARA, short for ‘Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions,’ is a rigorous evaluation process developed by the Ministry of Higher Education in 2007. It serves as a barometer to measure the quality assurance and standards of universities and university colleges in Malaysia. SETARA evaluates institutions based on institutional autonomy, quality, and performance, with a focus on the core functions of Teaching, Research, and Service. 

莱佛士大学‘s Journey 

Our journey towards excellence began with the 3-Star rating we received in 2019, marking our first participation in the SETARA assessment. This achievement set the foundation for our continued growth and development as an institution dedicated to providing a world-class education. 

In the SETARA 2022 assessment, 莱佛士大学 has been classified as ‘Competitive’ (Berdaya Saing). This classification places us among the group of excellent higher education institutions (HEIs) that have consistently met and exceeded the rigorous assessment criteria set by the Malaysian Higher Education Rating.
