Shailesh is responsible for coordinating the strategic execution of the bank’s digital transformational agenda, driving innovation as well as industry leading digital capabilities across the bank’s businesses and countries. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications from the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute. Shailesh has been integral in guiding the new HLB Connect mobile app that was designed from the ground up and fully developed in-house by our HLB teams; the HLB Pocket Connect app, the first in-market digital banking platform for young digital natives and our full End to End digital onboarding for Current/ Savings account openings, allowing customers to access banking services anytime, anywhere through their mobile phone via Apply@HLB app. HLB was recently named Best Digital Bank – Malaysia from the Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards 2021 for these innovations.
