SPM candidates 2020 are going to complete their SPM examination by the end of March 2021. Their SPM examination has been delayed from December 2020 to March 2021 due to the pandemic.

FOUNDATION VS DIPLOMA VS BACHELOR’s DEGREE (HONOURS)
In Raffles University, students from SPM can choose two pathways
- Pathway 1: Foundation > Bachelor’s Degree (Honours)
- Pathway 2: Diploma > Bachelor’s Degree (Honours)
After completion of either Foundation / Diploma at Raffles University, the students will be able to proceed to the Bachelor’s Degree (Honours).
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO PATHWAYS?
1. Timeline
- The Foundation is a 1-year-programme but the Diploma is either a 2-year or 2-year-4-month-programme. However, credit transfer is available for some package of the Diploma- Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) programme. In this way, the students might exempt certain modules in Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) programme after completion of Diploma programmes at Raffles University which in result with shorter length of Bachelor’s Degree Programme. The credit transfer might be varied based on a different combination of the programmes. Please 联络我们 for the actual programme package length.
2. Choice of Modules
- For the Foundation programme, the students will be choosing between 文科预科 或者 商科预科. In Foundation in Liberal Arts, the students will have to choose out of the 9 elective modules.
- For Diploma Programme, you will be choosing the specialised programmes.
3. Entry Requirements
- Most of the Foundation programmes require at least 5 credits in SPM while the Diploma programmes require at least 3 credits in SPM.
- *Some programmes might require additional entry requirement at the SPM level.
