BIKA Design Challenge 2025:Redefining Snack Packaging with Creativity and Innovation
Raffles University is excited to collaborate with BIKA (Hua Huat Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd.) for the BIKA Design Challenge 2025, running from 7th March to 18th April. This initiative presents a unique opportunity for our students to engage in real-world packaging design and branding, bridging academic learning with industry expectations.
The Challenge: Innovating Packaging for Two Iconic Products
The project challenges students to redesign the packaging structure and graphics for two of BIKA’s popular products:
Chocolate Snack (50g x 20 packs)
Milk Biscuits (75g x 12 tubes)
Working in groups of 3 to 4, students will revamp the outer box structure, inner packaging, and related graphics, ensuring that the new design enhance brand visibility, strengthen the product image, improve display presentation, and appeal to the target market.
Bridging Creativity and Industry Standards
This collaboration allows students to apply their knowledge of packaging structure, branding, and graphic design to meet real industry needs. By rebranding BIKA’s products, participants will develop market-driven design solutions that align with contemporary consumer preferences and retail display requirements.
At Raffles University, we believe in experiential learning and industry collaboration to equip students with hands-on experience. The BIKA Design Challenge is more than a competition—it is a stepping stone for young designers to demonstrate their talent, creativity, and understanding of packaging innovation.
We look forward to seeing the creative solutions our students develop, and we thank BIKA for this invaluable industry partnership. Stay tuned for updates on the project’s progress and the unveiling of the winning designs!
