Shine as Top 10 EXCELLENCE AWARD in SunStrong Entertainment's Scam Prevention Short Film Contest
Our talented students from the 多媒体设计学士（荣誉学位） programme have recently achieved a remarkable feat by being selected as the top 10 finalists in the highly prestigious “Scam Prevention Short Film Contest” organised by SunStrong Entertainment. This accomplishment is a testament to their exceptional creativity, dedication, and hard work.
The participants for the students are: CHIN YI Hong, YEO Xin Ying, TEO Yi Sien, YEO Jia Xin, WONG Zi Ki, TEO Li Ting and Fion LOW Jing Yao. The journey of these students towards becoming finalists in the Scam Prevention Short Film Contest has been nothing short of extraordinary. They have poured their hearts and souls into crafting engaging short films that aim to raise awareness and prevent scams in society. Their exceptional skills in multimedia design, combined with their passion for storytelling, have allowed them to stand out among numerous entries.
Under the guidance of Dr Alex TAN Wei Kian, the esteemed Programme Director of the Bachelor of Multimedia Design, our students have received invaluable support and motivation. Dr Alex is passionate about nurturing students’ self-confidence and critical thinking skills, encouraging them to participate in various activities and competitions. His guidance has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping our students’ success in this contest.
We would also like to commend the students’ teamwork and collaboration throughout this journey. Their ability to combine their unique perspectives, skills, and strengths has resulted in the creation of captivating short films that effectively convey the message of scam prevention. This accomplishment is a testament to their ability to work together towards a common goal, showcasing the power of collaboration in the creative process.
The Scam Prevention Short Film Contest organized by SunStrong Entertainment has garnered widespread attention and interest from both the public and industry professionals. The top 10 finalists have not only earned recognition for their exceptional work but are also in the running to win substantial prizes. With a total prize pool of USD 128,000 for the Student Category, there is much anticipation surrounding the rankings, which will be revealed during the Awards Ceremony in Beijing on the 17th of June, 2023.
