At Raffles University, learning is not limited to students. Our educators and researchers continue to learn, grow, and evolve too. On 9 September 2026, the Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research Excellence hosted a professional development workshop for academic staff and postgraduate researchers, led by Professor Doctor Mohd Shahir Shamsir bin Omar. The session provided an opportunity for participants to strengthen their perspectives on research, academic publishing, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and university-industry engagement, while exchanging ideas and experiences across different areas of expertise.

For Raffles University, continuous professional development is part of building a strong academic and research culture. As knowledge, technology, industries, and societal needs continue to evolve, our academic community must evolve with them. This culture of continuous learning extends across the University. Students learn from educators, educators learn from research and industry, and different disciplines learn from one another.
