There’s no doubt that Covid-19 has caused a major global crisis. Not only did we see loss of life and ill-health, the worldwide effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 has also had an adverse impact on the economy, businesses, local communities, and families. Recovery may be a long and arduous effort…

Despite all these difficulties, we have never stopped looking ahead with great hope and unrelenting optimism. Indeed, we crafted new opportunities and dared to dream of better times.

This is best captured by the word “resilience”: the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events. Resilience is a mindset and a skill that Raffles University nurtures in its students. So, they can grow to become future leaders of industries

And we are so proud of our students and staff for embracing the opportunity to experiment, innovate, and grow. We saw digital skills, virtual teamwork, and leadership applied in virtual exhibitions, online presentations, long-distance seminars and conferences, and cyber-competitions. Throughout, we learned and applied new skillsets and gained invaluable experiences.

Facing the future, our students are more ready than ever to cope with anything that comes their way…

And that way forward sparkles with hope. Our lives have evolved to a “new normal” – where we recognize that in this changed world, the “old ways” may no longer suffice.

New developments in science, technology, and education are inspiring us to rethink our ambitions, to strive for a new and better tomorrow. And at Raffles University we breed the talent to help shape the future!

We are excited to welcome our students back to university. Classes now run in a hybrid model, so students and staff continue to practice their digital literacy, gain exposure to novel ways of remote work, and explore pathways to lifelong learning.

Raffles University has also launched Micro-Credentials Courses in multiple subjects, offering learners a versatile trajectory to improve their competencies. This goes hand in hand with the Online Distance Learning programmes we are developing – putting lifelong and accessible learning high on our agenda.

We have also fully embraced new digital technologies with the adoption of blockchain certificates through Accredify’s trusted system. So, in the future educational institutions and employers worldwide will be able to verify the authenticity of student transcripts and certificates – effortlessly!

Meanwhile, we celebrated our 10^th Anniversary in October 2021. And Raffles University’s growth and ambitions will be scaling up further as we move into our latest and advanced facilities at Medini Campus in the latter half of 2022.

Despite the hardships we have faced over the past few years, a feeling of achievement and gratitude prevails. Thank you for persevering, for pushing each other along, for giving your best. Every challenge we overcame, gave us the chance to grow: as curious learners, as aspiring professionals, as kinder human beings. What drove us apart, has brought us together – and here we stand, stronger than ever!

Not an end, but a new beginning – a fresh start, a wide open world of opportunity that lies ahead of you. And we wish you well, we trust the future is bright, and we hope to see you thrive…
