RAFFLES GRAPHIC DESIGN INDUSTRY PROJECT

REBRANDING AND PRODUCT PACKAGING DESIGN

GRAPHIC DESIGN: FACE-TO-FACE CLIENT PRESENTATION – ECO BEE SHOP

Raffles Graphic Designers from 平面设计学士(荣誉学位) participated in a university-industry collaboration project with Eco Bee Shop. Eco Bee Shop is a local brand supported by thousands of local and overseas honey bee’s products fans, provides ‘Only Pure & Original or 100% Money-Back Guaranteed’ premium quality bee products Raw Honey, Royal Jelly, Bee Pollen, propolis.

The project was a 7-weeks project. The designers were required to propose a new logo for the client and design a market-driven product package for their honey products. In order to come out with innovative ideas that could effectively meet the client’s expectation, the designers had conducted both primary and secondary research about the client, target consumers, and potential competitors in the market before proposing the ideas and design concepts. Some improvements in the ideas, materials used, and production techniques were made based on the client’s feedback before the execution and final presentation.

The Raffles Graphic Designers who involved in this project are:

  • CAO Si Qi (China), Y2S2
  • KIM Da Eun, Dana (Korea), Y2S1
  • CHOONG Sin Yie (Malaysia), Y2S3
  • YONG Li Wen (Malaysia), Y2S2
  • Destiny AGHATISE (Nigeria), Y2S2
  • WONG Jing Ning, Joan (Malaysia), Y2S3

The project was supervised by Mr WONG Shaw Chiang.

The client of this project was Ms Cathie, the founder of Eco Bee Shop. She was accompanied by two graphic designers from the industry in the final face-to-face presentation with Raffles designers.

According to Ms Cathie, the Raffles designers had spent good efforts in the project, and in general, she satisfied with the outcomes produced by Raffles designers. She would also consider actualising and commercialising some of the packaging ideas that the designers proposed.

The goal of the project is to allow Raffles designers to work with real industry clients and gain valuable feedback from them to smoothen their transition from education to the actual workplace. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Ms Cathie and her team for the great collaboration opportunity and valuable feedback given to our designers.
