Sanitary Pad Workshop
Leo Club Sanitary Pad Workshop: Empowering Change Through Menstrual Hygiene Awareness
On 9 October, the RU Leo Club held a transformative Sanitary Pad Workshop. The event brought together 30 participants for an engaging hands-on experience. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about menstrual health while teaching participants how to make reusable cloth sanitary pads.
The event began with a sharing session led by experts Ms Chai Suet Fong and Ms Michelle Ong Yi Ling, who shared invaluable insights into the environmental benefits of reusable sanitary products, debunked common menstrual myths, and highlighted the issue of period poverty in impoverished and rural areas around the world. Mr Chen Xiong further enriched the discussion, reminding attendees how a simple initiative, like crafting reusable sanitary pads.
