Launches Material Sample Room

At Raffles University, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Material Sample Room, a new and significant addition to the Interior Design Resource Centre. This innovative space is designed to provide our Interior Design students with a hands-on learning environment, where they can explore, experiment, and gain invaluable experience with real-world materials and resources used in the industry.

The Material Sample Room represents a critical milestone in the university’s commitment to enhancing the academic experience of our interior design students and preparing them for a successful career in the dynamic world of interior design. This initiative has been made possible through the generous sponsorship and collaboration of five key industry partners who have shown a strong commitment to supporting education and the development of future professionals.

These partners bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, helping us to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. Their sponsorship of the Material Sample Room offers our interior design students access to a wide variety of materials, from paints and finishes to surfaces and textiles, providing an essential resource for learning and project development.

As part of the official launch, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between 莱佛士大学 and these industry partners, formalising the collaborative relationship and laying the foundation for further growth. This MoU not only strengthens our partnerships but also sets the stage for future opportunities in research, internships, and career pathways for our interior design students.

The launch event was a momentous occasion that highlighted Raffles University’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence and real-world application. By creating a space where interior design students can engage directly with the materials and tools used by professionals in the field, we are helping them cultivate the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the competitive interior design industry.
