Foon Yew High School, Seri Alam “至达城宽柔中学”
Pei Chun High School “笨珍培群中学”
Chong Hwa High School, Kluang “居銮中华中学”

The first day and second day of the camp were a Micro-Credential Course (Micro-Credential in Artificial Intelligence) conducted by Raffles University. It was then followed by a sharing session among the clubs from each high school to share their technology activities in the previous years. Then, the participants are encouraged to form groups to join Raffles University Artificial Intelligence Challenge 2022 to win lucrative prizes!

Deliver a Micro-Credential in Artificial Intelligence in the camp

The Micro-Credential was conducted in Chinese & English. The speaker was Dr PONG Hon Keat, the senior lecturer of AI & Robotics programmes at Raffles University. The assistant facilitators are Raffles Students from AI & Robotics Programme – TAN Wei Da, TAN Yi Ze and CHAN Ke Xin.

Aim of the Course

to introduce the basics of Python programming language. Core programming structures such as functions, selections and loops will be covered. Machine learning methods for classification and their implementations using Python will be discussed. The course also introduces single-layer perception so that an appreciation for how artificial neural networks work can be gained.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe the basics of Python programming language
  2. Utilise core programming structures such as loops and selections
  3. Understand supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms for AI applications.
  4. Develop an appreciation for the fundamentals of neural networks.

93 of the students completed the Micro-Credential in Artificial Intelligence.

Raffles University Artificial Intelligence Challenge 2022

At the end of the camp, the participants are encouraged to form groups to join Raffles University Artificial Intelligence Challenge 2022 to challenge what they have learned in the Micro-Credential in Artificial Intelligence!

The winners were selected based on

  • Structure of Data 数据结构
  • Control Cycle 控制和循
  • Logical FLow 逻辑流程
  • Export Outcome输出结果
