Raffles University Signs First International MOU

Raffles University (formerly known as Raffles University Iskandar) and Wenhua College of Yunnan Arts University, China signed a MOU on Friday 24 June. This is the first international collaboration for RU. It is a significant landmark on our journey to be the leading design university in Malaysia.

The purpose of the MOU is to promote mutual understanding and deepen the research collaboration through international exchange and educational opportunities for lecturers and students.

RU and Wenhua College are holding their first joint exhibition at Wanda Mall in Kunming from 23-30 June. The opening addresses by the President of Wenhua College, Professor Chen Jingsong, and the President of RU, Professor Graeme Britton, were broadcast live through WeChat. Over 600,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition.

Professor Britton says “Wenhua college has expertise in ethnic culture and arts which will add to the cultural diversity we can provide to our students. We are committed to enriching the learning experience and ensuring our graduates are employable.”
