Raffles University and Raffles University Fashion Club collaborated to hold two sessions of the Online Fashion Showcase – “Mirror”.

FASHION COLLECTION: REBUILT – S/S 2023 Unisex Collection
This collection arises the fast-fashion problems, which is one of the main causes of environmental pollution. Reduce landfills by deconstructing and reconstructing used garments into timeless fashion wear.
The mirror can be described as human life, a reflection showing the results of every step we take. AI technology arising, people used to conduct bullying within school surrounding, compared to current situation, people utilize the improvement of technology to conduct bullying online, especially during the pandemic and lockdown period.
FASHION COLLECTION: SILENT – A/W 2023 Semi Couture Mix Gender
Silence, as an indication to avoid cyberbullying, another meaning is the speechless feeling of the victims, overall to bring out the awareness of cyberbullying.
Fashion is a fantastic way to convey a person personality. Designers also convey their opinion through their design or reflects the social issues that concern. Fashion is a self-expression to reflect the inner world of a person which like a “mirror”
FASHION COLLECTION: AWAY – A/W 2023 Avant Garde
“Misogyny” is a topic about controlling and punishing female who challenges male dominance and social inequity. Female will be receiving unsolicited comments about their body, facing double standards as different expectations about the way male and female are supposed to behave and being asked about marriage and having children. “AWAY” the misogyny and stop judging the women again.
Every art piece that created or designed by designers is actually reflected their emotions and thoughts. They create artwork to show the world aim to create awareness and realization in society. Designers not only design, but they are also here to solve problems and reflect the truth and facts in society. So, we are here to reflect to you that what is actually happening around us.
FASHION COLLECTION: INNER SPACE – S/S 2023 Unisex Collection
When looking into the mirror, people are like fully exposed themselves. Looking into the mirror means we are facing the truth; the truth can be ugly and raw. Looking at the intro mirror can know our worth, power and value. Every individual was filled with unique minds, ideas, inspiration and memories. People can have many emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, excited. So, this collection is a rich combination of colours, just like life, colourful and interesting.
I love to explore and try out something new in nature. I am getting to enjoy them and feel comfortable in nature. My collection of ideas is a reflection of my life experience and also, they are continued.
FASHION COLLECTION: MEMOIR – S/S 2023 Women’s Semi Couture
The collection is about the women’s semi-couture summer/spring 2023. The inspiration gets from my life experience which is the distinction between countryside life and city life 8 stages of flower plants and humans which the designer NICOLE’s development of grow.
An artwork reflected the creator’s thought that fully illustrate an idiomatic perspective and mirroring the story behind.
