Beach Cleaning

Raffles University’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement shone brightly during the recent beach cleaning event on 3rd March 2024 at Mersing’s Air Papan Beach. This recognition underscores the positive impact that collaborative initiatives like these can have on local communities. 

The beach cleaning activities attended by Booster Club students were educational for them. They gained firsthand experience in preserving the environment and had the chance to interact with the local community, which helped them better understand the region’s heritage. A standout moment of the day was the visit to the local museum, where students explored the rich history and culture of Mersing. This experience expanded their knowledge and encouraged them to appreciate the local community and its traditions. 

The event’s success was boosted by its recognition on the official Facebook and Instagram pages of the Mersing town council. This acknowledgment reflects well on Raffles University and demonstrates the impact of collaborative efforts in driving sustainable change. As we aim for a cleaner, more sustainable future, the Raffles University Booster Club remains dedicated to making a difference in our communities.
