Social Responsibility Through Experiential Learning
Raffles University Psychology Students Explore Social Responsibility Through Experiential Learning
Connecting Ethics, Community Engagement and Environmental Responsibility Beyond the Classroom
Raffles University Psychology students explored the importance of social responsibility through a learning experience that connected classroom knowledge with practical community engagement.
The learning focused on how individuals can contribute responsibly as students, employees and members of the community, while developing greater awareness of ethical behaviour and responsibility towards society and the environment.
Understanding Social Responsibility
Throughout the learning experience, students explored different aspects of social responsibility, including ethics, digital responsibility, environmental responsibility and social well-being.
The topics encouraged students to consider how individual decisions and actions can affect others and how responsible behaviour can contribute to the wider community.
Putting Learning into Practice
Beyond classroom discussions, students had the opportunity to apply their understanding of social responsibility through practical community engagement.
This experiential approach allowed students to connect concepts such as empathy, ethics, teamwork and environmental responsibility with real-world experiences.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
By combining academic learning with practical engagement, the experience encouraged Psychology students to recognise that social responsibility is not simply a concept, but something that can be demonstrated through everyday actions and participation in the community.
Through experiential learning, Raffles University provides opportunities for students to connect their education with broader responsibilities towards individuals, communities and the environment.
