Young CEO X-Factor 2023

Raffles University’s students from the 商业学系 participated in the prestigious Bi-Annual ESTECH 2023/YOUNG CEO X-FACTOR CHALLENGE, hosted by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and supported by Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi (JPT) (Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia) from the 23rd – 24th of August 2023. The competition, designed to nurture the talents of young business enthusiasts, witnessed our Business Faculty students rise to the occasion and demonstrate their exceptional analytical skills, creative thinking, and commitment to sustainable business solutions.

The theme for this year’s event was ‘Leading Business Sustainability through Business Data Analytics.’

Our heartfelt congratulations to Team HoneyTrap , led by the Programme Director of Supply Chain Management, Mr. Melvin LONG, from Raffles University, for clinching the 1st Runner-Up Prize.

The Journey to Success 

The YOUNG CEO X-FACTOR CHALLENGE, gather the brightest minds from universities across Malaysia. Raffles University’s Business Faculty  set out on this journey with enthusiasm and determination, driven by the desire to excel in the realm of business leadership. Our Honey Trap team from RU Business Faculty  embraced the competition’s objectives, which included promoting creativity, proposal resolution techniques, and sustainable business solutions. 

The challenge was not just a platform for participants to showcase their analytical skills but also an opportunity to hone their decision-making and problem-solving abilities. With the guidance of business faculty mentors and industry professionals, the RU Business Faculty  team delved into each mini business case, crafting solutions that balanced the objectives of the economy, society, and the environment. 

A Remarkable Achievement 

The hard work, late-night brainstorming sessions, and research had paid off. The difference of a mere 3.5% from the first prize only underscored the exceptional level of competition and the outstanding performance of our Raffles 商业学系院 students,HoneyTrap. 

This achievement resonates deeply within the university’s ethos – a commitment to nurturing future leaders who are not only academically adept but also possess the skills to lead, innovate, and contribute positively to society. 

The First Runner-Up title in the YOUNG CEO X-FACTOR CHALLENGE, stands as a shining testament to Raffles University’s Business Faculty ‘s dedication, skill, and determination. It is a reminder that success is a product of hard work, innovation, and the unwavering support of mentors and peers. 

As we celebrate this achievement, we also look forward to the future – one where the RU Business Faculty  continues to foster young minds, instilling in them the values of creativity, sustainability, and effective leadership. The YOUNG CEO X-FACTOR CHALLENGE, has shown that our students have what it takes to thrive in the dynamic world of 商业学系院, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments!
