Field Trip: visiting Iskandar Malaysia Studio
Recently, Raffles Students had the chance of visiting Iskandar Malaysia Studio, formerly known as Pinewood Malaysia. It is a great experience particularly for those with an interest in the world of film and television production.
Upon arrival, the studio’s staff provided an introduction to the history and background of the facility. Iskandar Malaysia Studio is one of the largest film studios in Southeast Asia and has hosted numerous local and international productions.
The guided tour was the highlight of the visit, allowing the students to explore the different sets, soundstages, and backlots used for film and television production. Raffles Students also had the opportunity to witness the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating the special effects and sound design that are critical components of any film or television production.
Throughout the tour, Raffles Students were able to interact with the knowledgeable and experienced guides, who shared their insights into the production process. They learned about the various departments involved in film and television production, including art design, costume design, lighting, sound, and camera work. The visit to Iskandar Malaysia Studio provided the students with a unique and valuable learning experiences.
