Professor Graeme Britton, President of Raffles University, was invited as an expert to give a presentation at the “Oxford Debate” on 27 September in the Town Hall, Oxford, UK. The theme of the event was “University of the Future”. Experts representing 19 countries shared their views, which was streamed live on Youtube.
The title of Professor Britton’s paper and presentation was “Universities of the Future”. Prof. Britton argues that there are two major forces driving change in the higher education sector: Industry 4.0 and the desire for experiential learning. They will transform higher education from the current one-model-fits-all to one that supports many different models. The greater diversity of universities will give students more choice, lower costs, and improve quality standards. For more details, you can download his paper (here).
