At Raffles University, learning extends far beyond classroom theory. Under the guidance of Dr. Tan Hui Siang, students in the ADE 21043 Project Management<\/strong> module\u2014across programmes including the Bachelor of Graphic Design (Honours), Bachelor of Multimedia (Honours), and Bachelor of Fashion Design (Honours)\u2014apply essential project management principles to real-world contexts. Through strategic planning, collaborative teamwork, and effective execution, students gain valuable hands-on experience while demonstrating how sound project management can transform creative concepts into meaningful, tangible outcomes.<\/p>

13 July 2026: Unlocking Creativity with AI Empowerment<\/h4>

The series launched on 13 July 2026 with an inspiring workshop organised by Group 5 (Five Fingers)<\/strong>. Their AI Empowerment Workshop<\/em> explored the transformative role of technology in modern content creation.<\/p>

The event featured guest speaker Mr Azhar Malik, who delivered an engaging talk on AI innovation and its practical applications. Following the presentation, participants joined an interactive, hands-on session via the website ‘clip.sg’,\u00a0learning how to leverage AI tools to streamline video production and generate high-quality short-form content.<\/p>

22 July 2026: Courtyard Showcase \u2014 Creativity for a Cause<\/h4>

On 22 July 2026, the energy transitioned to the campus Courtyard for a lively student showcase. All five student teams brought their original social enterprise projects and interactive booths to life, raising funds for meaningful causes and sharing their initiatives with the university community:<\/p>

Group 1 (FM51) \u2013 Pawsitive Love:<\/strong> Combining original character design with social impact, Team FM51 unveiled their custom-designed mascot characters, PawPaw and Tive. The team created and sold exclusive merchandise\u2014including keychains, stickers, and postcards\u2014with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the Wang Mama Animal Shelter.<\/p>

Group 2 \u2013 Herbal Sachet Workshop:<\/strong> Centred on mental health and stress relief, this initiative offered participants a calming, hands-on sensory experience. Attendees crafted custom herbal sachets, traditional Japanese amulets, and blind boxes. All profits raised were donated to The Befrienders KL to support mental health awareness and helpline services.<\/p>

Group 3 \u2013 Nature Art Workshop:<\/strong> Highlighting wellness through art, Group 3 guided participants in creating personalised pressed-flower bookmarks and decorative nature spray fans. The proceeds from their workshop were donated to The Lost Food Project to aid food rescue and poverty alleviation efforts.<\/p>

Group 4 (Team CTRL+Z) \u2013 ReCraft Workshop:<\/strong> Championing environmental sustainability, Team CTRL+Z tackled plastic waste through upcycling. By transforming discarded plastic bottles into delicate handmade floral art pieces and accessories, the team demonstrated sustainable design in action while raising funds for the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) Education Fund.<\/p>

Group 5 (Five Fingers):<\/strong> Following up on their successful workshop earlier in the month, Team Five Fingers set up a dedicated booth at the Courtyard showcase. The team engaged directly with students and staff, showcasing their project journey, sharing practical AI content creation insights, and interacting with attendees.<\/p>

By planning, coordinating, and executing these diverse projects under Dr. Tan Hui Siang’s ADE 21043 Project Management module, our students showcased the leadership, adaptability, and sense of purpose that define a Raffles University education.
