INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/p>

Raffles University cares about your personal data protection. This notice clarifies how Raffles University processes your data from the point we collect, use, share, dispose of and the security measure that we established to ensure your personal data is well protected.<\/p>

Raffles University encompasses the main branding of Raffles University and its sub-brands, including but not limited to the Raffles University Centre of Professional Development, the Raffles University TVET Centre, the faculties of Raffles University, and all departments and Centres within Raffles University.<\/p>

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA<\/strong><\/p>

We collect your personal data which range from your name, identity card Number \/ Passport Number, home address, e-mail address, phone number, gender, date of birth, previous qualification, photo and images, video and voice recording, marital status, emergencies contact person(s), family \/ guardian information, schoolwork \/ assignment details, work experience and salary range.<\/p>

Some of the personal data that we process may include what is defined as ‘sensitive personal data’ under the Act, and these include, but are not restricted to: Race, Religion, Health, Records of misconduct and disciplinary action, Records of criminal offence.<\/p>

This sensitive information shall be treated carefully by Raffles University and will only be used for specific purposes. It will not be released to a third party without your explicit consent unless it is necessary to protect your interests.<\/p>

  1. Various type of inquiry, application and \/ or registration forms (online or manual)<\/li>
  2. All other internal, or external forms (online or manual)<\/li>

    1. To communicate the product to the prospective students<\/li>

    3. As a record for internal and external activities such as but not limited to counselling activities, graduation, field trip, internship.<\/li>

      We only process your personal data within Malaysia. Your personal data will not be transfer to any place outside Malaysia.<\/p>

      3. Third parties that provide the internships or attachment placement \/ field trip<\/li>
      4. Third parties appointed by Raffles University to provide services<\/li>

        1. By ensuring your personal data is kept as required by Act 709<\/li>
        2. By ensuring our staff not to misuse your personal data
          Nevertheless, you are required to ensure the security of your password and not to disclose it to another party to reduce the risk of data breaches.<\/li><\/ol>

          We take reasonable steps to ensure that such Personal Data are only retained for as long as the information is necessary.<\/p>
